Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo, by Obert Skye [YA Fiction]

He starts as a mistreated kid. So did she. But then because of a gut feeling, she travels halfway across the country to find him. They don’t know anything about each other until they meet Clover, a 12 inch high creature from Foo. And then, of course, they meet Geth. He, or Leven, the only one who can destroy the gateway, she, or Winter, another creature from Foo who volunteered to help Leven get to the gateway but does not remember any of her time in Food, Clover who was also assigned to Leven, and Geth, the only heir to the throne in Food who has been turned into a toothpick — all have to get to the gateway and destroy it before the dark lord Sabine can get into reality and take over the world. Can they make it?
