Sunset by Erin Hunter   [J Fiction]

by Amanda, 7th grader

Would you like a book series to never end? Would you like a series that has sets of six books? Would you like a book that has cats in it? Well, Warriors is a series that has all those things! Warriors is my favorite series ever. Besides manga, you can’t resist Warriors! I like this particular book because of all the excitement on every page of the story. (There are more reasons why I like this, but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone!)

Pretear

Pretear by Kaori Naruse  [YA Manga]

by Amanda, 7th grader

I really liked the last book of Pretear. I don’t want to spoil the book (even though I love to spoil things!) but I have to say it’s a sad way to end the series. I would love the series to keep going, but it had to end sometime. It’s mostly about the seven handsome leafe knights and Himeno, the Pretear, stopping the Princess of Disaster from taking all leafe out of living things. I like books with people having powers. Read it- it’s great! It’s the new legend of Snow White. Pretear ends with one sentence (in eulogy): “I open my eyes.”

Heartbreak & Triumph : the Shawn Michaels Story by Shawn Michaels  [Adult Nonfiction- we don't own]

by Amber, 12th grader

Shawn Michaels was born to wrestle- he loved watching it on TV and always knew that he wanted to wrestle. He started wrestling in 1985 and has continued wrestling for more than 20 years. He has won every belt in the WWE. He had a lot of struggles dealing with drugs, but cleaned up in the mid-1990’s before he met his wife Rebecca. In March of 1999 he found out he was going to be a dad. Shawn has come a long way in 20 years and hopefully he will be in the business for another 20 years, but this time with less obstacles!
