The Clique Summer Collection: Massie by Lisi Harrison [YA Fiction- on order]
by Aziza, 6th grader
If you love The Clique series, then you’ll love the new summer collection written by Lisi Harrison. In this book, Massie gets kicked out of her horseback riding camp, and then is ordered by her parents to pay them back for her lessons. Making money and working for it winds up being quite hard for Massie Block. I loved reading this fun book and would recommend it to any girl- although, I was a bit disappointed with how this book didn’t show any of Massie’s insecurities with herself.

I’d Tell you I Love You, but Then I’d Have to Kill You, by Ally Carter [YA Fiction]
by Trisha, 7th grader
This book is about a girl named Cammie who is a spy. She goes to what seems to be a normal, regular, private school. But when Cammie falls in love with a normal boy who isn’t a spy, things start to go crazy. Cammie makes up a different life for him, where she is just a boring, regular girl. Will Cammie be able to pull this lie off? Will he find out? I definitely recommend this book. It is funny, witty, and interesting.

Gossip Girl, by Cecily von Ziegesar [YA Fiction]
by Shreya, age 13
If you’ve read series like the A-List and the Clique, you will definitely love this series. I personally think the best books are when they can transport you into a totally unbelievable world. The Gossip Girls series is thoroughly addicting. The setting is in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York. All of the characters are young, rich, and sometimes not-so-nice. The original “it girl” main character, Serena, comes back after being kicked out of boarding school and the rumors start flying. As you go deeper into this book of relationships, you won’t be able to stop…like having a habit to gossip.

The Mediator Series, by Meg Cabot [YA Fiction]
by Trisha, 7th grader
This thrilling series is about a girl named Suze who can see ghosts. She always comes across problems when the ghosts refuse to leave the real world and go into another dimension, where they belong. Some seek revenge. Others want to stay and haunt those who hurt them in their past life. It’s up to Suze to make sure that the ghosts don’t harm anyone. It’s really funny when Suze gets a high temper and ends up wrestling the ghosts.

Mates, Dates, and Cosmic Kisses, by Cathy Hopkins [YA Fiction]
by Lisa, 7th grader
I would recommend this book because it is like the life of many teenage girls. Izzie meets a very cute boy named Mark. She likes him, and he likes her. She waits for days by the phone, forgetting completely about her social life. It is so compelling. You keep wondering when Mark is going to call. Will they end up together? You’ll have to read to find out.

Dial L for Loser, by Lisi Harrison [YA Fiction]
by Abigail, 7th grader
Lisi Harrison writes the 6th book in the Clique series. Massie, Claire, and Alicia go to Hollywood to try out for a new teen movie. When Claire gets the part, envy follows on Massie’s part. All’s well in love and peace, but what’s wrong with hate and greed? I luv this book!

Revenge of the Wannabes, by Lisi Harrison [YA Fiction]
by Meredith, 7th grader
This book is about these 5 girls, and they get in a bunch of fights and every day or week there are also different people are friends that they were mad at the week before. Also, then Massie and Claire got a letter that wants them to go to a modeling job and they wanted to do it, so they did, and the other friends got mad, because they weren’t asked to model for a famous celebrity. I liked the book very much. My favorite part was when Massie and Claire got asked for the modeling job.

Away Laughing on a Fast Camel, by Louise Rennison [YA Fiction]
by Lisa, 7th grader
I loved this book sooo much. I could connect with this book on so many different levels. I also like the British accents! My friends and I have the same relationship as Georgia and Jas. We can annoy each other to death sometimes, but we are still best friends at the end of the day. Dave the Laugh is such a jerk, the complete opposite of Masimo. In short, this book was AWESOME!
